Even before the words “old piano keys” were uttered, Duffy’s jewellery collecton stood out amoung the numerous rooms at Fashion East during the London Collections. The said ivory piano keys formed the basis of Duffy’s previous collection: carved, etched, yellowed; no two alike. The newest pieces on display drew ancient symbolism from hummingbirds and lotus flowers, intricately hand crafted and dotted with fine gems (ruby, black diamond) that managed to steer so clear of bling that the clouds practially rolled over in homage to their inherent darkness.
