The Next Chapter Is Woven: Prince of Scots Named a 37th ARTS Awards Finalist

Some honors recognize a single moment. Others tell you that the story you are building is beginning to matter.

We are extraordinarily proud to announce that Prince of Scots has been named a finalist in the Manufacturer: Home Textiles category of the 37th Annual ARTS Awards—the premier awards program honoring excellence in the home furnishings industry.

This is our second consecutive year as an ARTS Awards finalist.

Selected from hundreds of industry nominations, Prince of Scots joins Bella Notte Linens, HiEnd Accents and John Robshaw Textiles in an exceptional group of four Home Textiles finalists. To stand alongside companies of this caliber is both humbling and exhilarating.

But for us, this recognition is about more than arriving at a gala in Dallas. It is a moment to reflect on what Prince of Scots represents—and where we are going next.

The Royal Mane Throw

British Heritage. American Vision.

Prince of Scots was founded on an ambitious idea: to take the textile traditions of Britain and Scotland and interpret them through a modern American point of view.

We believe heritage should be preserved, but it should never be frozen in time.

That is why we explore new color stories, alter the scale of traditional patterns, combine Italian yarns with Scottish weaving and place tartan and tweed in contemporary American settings—from city apartments and historic homes to Texas ranches, equestrian estates and country clubs.

Our textiles are shaped by the past, but designed for how people live now.

In 2026, that vision gained an important new foundation with the federal registration of Highland Tweeds®.

Highland Tweeds® is more than the name of a collection. It is an owned and protected Prince of Scots brand dedicated to tartan, tweed and the extraordinary textile traditions associated with the Scottish Highlands. It gives us a platform for original patterns, exclusive color interpretations and future collections that unite Scottish craftsmanship with American design.

It also brings new meaning to a phrase that has guided us from the beginning:

British Heritage. American Vision.

The Vision Behind the Textiles: David Campana

At the creative heart of Prince of Scots is designer David Campana, the visionary behind the brand’s distinctive textiles and evolving interpretation of modern heritage.

David approaches design as both storyteller and colorist. He studies historic tartans, traditional tweeds, equestrian references and the natural landscapes associated with British and American country life—then reimagines them through unexpected color, refined scale and a distinctly contemporary point of view.

His work extends far beyond selecting an existing pattern. David develops original textiles, reconstructs traditional setts, adjusts proportions, directs yarn and color choices and works closely with mills to translate a creative idea into a beautifully woven finished product. From signature ombrés and sophisticated equestrian motifs to exclusive Highland Tweeds® tartans and custom jacquards, his hand can be seen throughout the Prince of Scots collection.

“Heritage gives us a language, but design allows us to say something new,” said Campana. “Our goal is to create textiles that feel familiar in spirit, yet entirely fresh in their color, scale and emotion.”

Working in creative partnership with founder Tim Danser, David has helped transform Prince of Scots from a purveyor of fine British goods into an emerging American luxury design house with its own recognizable textile identity.

Together, they have built a creative philosophy around a simple conviction: the past should inspire the future, never limit it.

Through David’s vision, Prince of Scots does not merely present British heritage. It designs its next chapter.

The Threads That Connect Us

As America commemorates its 250th anniversary, we find ourselves thinking about the cultural threads that crossed the Atlantic and became part of American life.

Tartan and tweed traveled far beyond Scotland. They became part of American collegiate style, equestrian life, sporting tradition, country houses, ranches and generations of personal expression.

Prince of Scots lives within that transatlantic story.

We do not simply recreate historic patterns. We study them, respect them and ask what they can become next. Through fiber, yarn, color, scale and weave, we create textiles that carry history forward.

Two hundred and fifty years after America declared its independence, the cultural threads connecting Britain and America remain. Prince of Scots is weaving the next chapter.

Prince of Scots BIG THROW

Made from Wool, Not Fossil Fuel

Our commitment to heritage is inseparable from our commitment to natural fibers.

Wool, merino and cashmere have provided warmth and comfort for generations. They are durable, renewable and naturally beautiful materials that offer a meaningful alternative to textiles derived from fossil fuels.

That belief is expressed in another statement central to Prince of Scots:

Made from Wool, Not Fossil Fuel.

For us, luxury begins with what a textile is made from, where it comes from and the people whose knowledge brings it to life. A beautiful photograph may introduce a product, but provenance gives it lasting meaning.

Our collections connect Italian yarns, Scottish weaving, original American design and generations of specialist craftsmanship. Every thread should have a reason for being there.

An American Brand Earns Its Place

Prince of Scots has grown from its Appalachian roots into a nationally recognized luxury home brand, with collections offered through Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, specialty retailers, resorts, clubs and hospitality destinations.

Along the way, our products have been selected by Travel + Leisure, featured in Tatler, recognized by NBC News and honored by LUXlife. We have earned Google Top Quality Store recognition and Best Merchandised Booth honors at Atlanta Market.

Each milestone has mattered. Yet being named an ARTS Awards finalist for a second consecutive year carries particular significance because this recognition comes from within the home furnishings industry itself.

It tells us that our peers see the work.

They see the original designs, the natural fibers, the artisan partnerships, the retail relationships and the determination required to build an independent American luxury brand.

Most importantly, they see the vision.

With Gratitude

This recognition belongs to every artisan, mill, retailer, designer, customer and friend who has supported Prince of Scots.

It belongs to the people who understand that craftsmanship still matters. To those who choose natural fibers. To the retail partners who gave an emerging brand a place beside established names. And to every customer who has brought one of our textiles into a home, on a journey or into a family tradition.

Thank you to ART and Dallas Market Center for this extraordinary honor.

The winners of the 37th Annual ARTS Awards will be announced on January 8, 2027, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas

Until then, we will continue doing what brought us here: respecting the past, designing for the future and weaving a story that is unmistakably Prince of Scots.

British Heritage. American Vision. Modern Luxury.
