Prince of Scots Holiday Egg Nog

Rich, elegant, timeless. Here is our signature take:

🥃 The Prince of Scots Holiday Egg Nog

A stately winter sip — velvety, spiced, and elevated with fine whiskey.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 2 large egg yolks

  • 2 tbsp pure cane sugar

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 2 oz good whiskey (Bourbon or Scotch — your choice of personality)

  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract

  • Freshly grated nutmeg

  • A whisper of cinnamon

  • Optional: 1 egg white, lightly whipped for extra cloud-like lift

  • Garnish: cinnamon stick + nutmeg snowfall

Method

  1. Whisk yolks + sugar until pale, creamy, and luxurious.

  2. Warm milk, cream, vanilla gently in a saucepan — do not boil, just steam.

  3. Temper yolks by slowly adding warm cream into the bowl, whisking continuously.

  4. Return mixture to low heat.
Cook until slightly thickened — silky coat on the spoon.

  5. Remove from heat — stir in whiskey.

  6. If adding egg white, fold in gently right before serving for a cloudlike texture.

  7. Pour into glassware or holiday crystal.
    Crown with:
    ✦ Grated nutmeg
✦ Cinnamon stick — like a scepter in your cup
