While the beaches are the biggest draw in the Hamptons, one must come and enjoy a fall fantasy fest with fun for the entire family. Pumpkin Picking in the Hamptons is a perfect getaway to enjoy the final warm sunny days or even a cold crisp one.
The Hamptons are clusters of rolling country estates, beaches, vineyards and of course the abundant farms. Only 90 minutes from Manhattan, fields of orange await your fall escape. Not just for Halloween anymore, pumpkins can create a festival fall mood from the end of September all the way through to Thanksgiving.
On of our favorites is our Water Mill neighbor, Franks Pumpkintown. A great place for the entire family. There are pumpkins of course, but you will delight in full fresh market, fresh baked goods, a corn maze, kiddie rides, and even fresh apple picking.
You can find Hanks Pumpkin Farm at http://hankspumpkintown.com/farm/
Pumpkins can also be found at The Milk Pail in Water Mill. Celebrating 30 years in the festive business, one can also find indian corn and fresh cheeses. Check out White Cap Farms founders of The Milk Pail for fresh cider where the art of juicing apples has been perfected.
Come be a kid again and enjoy fall in the Hamptons!
